Pinto Field Renovation In preparation to the 2007 Spring Season at Shaw Park, Cobb County Parks and Rec has completed the renovation of the Pinto field. Now with proper drainage, this field will provide the ultimate experience for our players.

Shaw Park Holds a Veterans Celebration with a Flagpole Dedications

Saturday, April 26th, Shaw Park Dedicates 2 additional Flag Poles. With sounds from the military band playing, people enjoyed the spirit of the dedication. Guest speakers Judson Hill, John Abraham, Paul Greenwell along with our very own retired Captain Drew Peake started the celebration.

Following the raising of the flags at all three locations, the crowd joined in with the Pledge of Allegiance. Several Veterans like Joe Southall helped get the sports activities of the day started by throwing our the first pitch on all fields.

It was a perfect day for the celebration despite the fact the our very own David (Thunderstrom) Poteet lead the event. Many thanks to those that came our and enjoyed the celebration
